There is no single best electric car for every Kenyan driver. A Nairobi commuter, a seven-person family, a hotel shuttle and a business carrying tools need different vehicles. The strongest shortlist begins with the job, then narrows by charging, range and price.

Best for city driving: compact hatchbacks
